We had a lot of fun on the 100th day of school! We made necklaces out of 100 fruit loops, made a hat with 100 stickers on it, and glued our collections of 100 onto posters. We practiced counting by tens and practiced our fine motor skills with all the sticking and gluing. :)
Welcome to our class blog!
We hope that you enjoy seeing what we are up to!

Weekly Wrangler 1/11 - 1/15
Welcome to another exciting week in Kindergarten!
I hope that the new weekly homework made sense - writing a simple sentence, writing their numbers and reading. It is important the the children feel like writers and are able to compose their own sentences with a capital letter at the beginning, finger spaces between words and punctuation at the end. There are some numbers that switch direction and we thought that some extra practice would help with this confusion.
The Take-Home library was not running last week, and I'm not sure if it will be this week. When reading with your child, please let them read the words that they know (simple sight words that we have been learning) as well as thinking about what would make sense in the story. The book order is due Friday, January 15th.

December Pictures
Here are our Gingerbread kids that we decorated. Aren't they just about as cute as we are??
We loved having parents come read to us for the 10 Days of Christmas. Thanks for helping us fill our stockings with items from each story!
We got to come to school in the morning and participate in the school-wide sing along assembly. The Kindergarteners sang Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. :)
